CALL PINE ISLAND "PADDLERS' ISLAND"
The festival’s second weekend — Nov. 5-7 — will focus on the Greater Pine Island area. Attend a social at Angler’s Inn or The Sun & The Moon Inn. Compete to win a Hobie kayak in the Calusa Blueway Kayak Fishing Tournament. Join nature lovers and photographers at a presentation/reception. Help out the Pine Island Food Pantry and enjoy The McIltrot Brothers Band by attending the Taste of Matlacha and Bluegrass for a Blueway. Compete in the Paddle of the Pass canoe and kayak regatta. Learn about native plantings on the blueway with a Florida Yards & Neighbors program. Explore the world of the Calusa people with Randell Research Center. Enjoy Pine Island’s hospitality at the KOA, Bert’s Bar and other local businesses that are supporting the festival.
KAYAK FISHING TOURNEY GOES TO NEXT LEVEL
Cash prizes, a Hobie kayak, Bending Branches paddles and Cape Haze custom rods are among the booty for anglers who enter the Nov. 6 Calusa Blueway Kayak Fishing Tournament. Captain’s meeting is Nov. 5 at Angler’s Inn, Matlacha. Click here for entry form and rules.

Friday, Oct. 29: 5 p.m. hosted by Prawnbroker restaurant with Sea Kayaker magazine sponsoring the first round of drinks.
Saturday, Oct. 30: 5 p.m. at Bonita Bill’s with Canoe & Kayak offering a pre-happy-hour paddle, prizes and drinks/food. Dinner specials at neighboring Doc Ford’s Restaurant.
Saturday, Oct. 30: 5 p.m. RiverFest Fish Fry and Costume Party. Join the fun at Riverside Park in beautiful downtown Bonita on the Imperial River.
Sunday, Oct. 31: 2-4 p.m. programs/presentations and 4-6 p.m. live music and barbecue hosted by San Carlos RV Resort and the Florida Paddling Trails Association.
Thursday, Nov. 4: 6 p.m. at Hilton Garden Inn, Fort Myers, with kayaker Terri Krass on kayak camping and Henry Hoenk of West Marine on gear. Complimentary desserts and coffee from Hilton Garden Inn; cash bar.
Friday, Nov. 5: 5:30 p.m. at Angler’s Inn with Bert’s Bar providing beverages for kayakers and canoeists. This also serves as the captains’ meeting/social for the Calusa Blueway Kayak Fishing Tournament.
Saturday, Nov. 6: 4:30 p.m. at The Sun & The Moon Inn. Come by kayak, canoe or car for beverages and snacks.
Sunday, Nov. 7: 11-3 p.m. Taste of Matlacha and Bluegrass for a Blueway hosted by the Matlacha Civic Association and Lee County Parks & Recreation. Also: Sign up for 10 a.m. Paddle of the Pass brought to you by Florida Paddling Trails Association.
